Terms of Service

Got It Tap is operated by Smart Scale Consulting LLC (“Got It Tap”, “we”, “us”) out of Dickinson, Texas. By buying a Got It Tap product, claiming a card, or using gotittap.com, you agree to these terms. If anything here is a dealbreaker, don’t use the service.
1. Accounts
You can create an account with any email or via Google sign-in. The account is free for anyone who owns a Got It Tap card or wristband — you don’t pay a monthly fee just to keep your profile live. If you want premium features, you can upgrade to Got It Tap Pro for $4.99/month or $39.99/year. Pro is cancelable any time from your dashboard; canceling keeps Pro active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
You’re responsible for what happens on your account, the content you publish to your profile, and keeping your sign-in credentials safe.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Got It Tap to:
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk SMS / email using contacts you collected through the Save Contact feature.
- Impersonate another person or business without their permission.
- Publish content that’s illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
3. Card warranty
The NFC chip embedded in every card and wristband carries a lifetime warranty. If the chip stops responding to taps under normal use, we’ll replace it free.
For physical damage to the card body itself (cracked plastic, scratched metal, snapped wristband, water damage), we’ll replace the unit at cost — you pay our per-unit production cost plus shipping, no markup.
4. Refunds
Unused, unpersonalized cards can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Send them back in the original packaging.
Engraved or otherwise customized cards are non-refundable.Once we’ve laser-engraved your name or logo, the card is yours.
Pro subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period; cancel and you’ll keep Pro features until the period ends.
5. Intellectual property
You own your profile content. Photos, text, links, videos — everything you publish on your profile stays yours. You grant Got It Tap a non-exclusive license to host and display that content solely so the service can function.
We own the platform. The Got It Tap brand, logo, software, hardware designs, and the gotittap.com site are our intellectual property. You don’t get rights to those just by owning a card.
6. Termination
You can close your account any time by emailing hello@gotittap.com. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Closing your account releases any cards you’d claimed back into our pool, and the public profile pages tied to those cards stop loading.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided as is and as available. We don’t guarantee uptime, error-free operation, or that features won’t change. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement).
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Got It Tap’s total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the service is capped at the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Galveston County, Texas.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on gotittap.com or by email. Continued use after the change date means you accept the new Terms.
