Privacy Policy

Got It Tap is operated by Smart Scale Consulting LLC (“Got It Tap”, “we”, “us”) out of Dickinson, Texas. This page explains what we collect from people who buy our NFC products and use gotittap.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can delete or export it.
What we collect
- Profile data — the name, email, phone number, photo, bio, and links you publish on your public profile page (the URL on the back of your card).
- Account data — sign-in method (Google or password), and the order history tied to your account.
- Tap analytics — when someone taps your card, we record the timestamp, an IP-derived city/region (best effort), the device’s user agent, and the referrer. The full IP address is one-way hashed before storage.We use it only to count unique visitors per profile and surface top cities in your Insights tab.
- Saved contacts — if a visitor uses “Save Contact” on your public profile, the name, phone, email, and notes they enter are stored in your account so you can follow up.
- Lead-capture form data — if you submit our 10%-off popup or another marketing form, we store what you typed plus your consent choices for SMS and email.
What we don’t collect
- Credit card numbers (Stripe holds those).
- Your phone’s location, microphone, or camera.
- Your contacts, photos, or files outside what you upload.
- Browsing history outside gotittap.com.
Why we collect it
- To render your public profile when someone taps your card.
- To save the contacts visitors submit through your profile.
- To show you basic analytics in the Insights tab (taps, unique visitors, top cities).
- To deliver orders and send transactional messages (receipts, shipping updates).
- With your consent, to send marketing email/SMS and run abandoned-cart recovery.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your profile content to train machine-learning models.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum data needed with the vendors that run the service:
- Stripe — processes card payments. Stripe holds your payment instrument; we only see the last 4 digits and the order amount.
- Smart Scale — our CRM and the system that sends transactional / marketing SMS and email. Account name, email, phone, order data, and consent flags sync there.
- Vercel — hosts the Got It Tap web app (gotittap.com). Standard server logs apply.
- Supabase — hosts our database, auth, and file storage. Profile content and tap events live here.
We may also disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect Got It Tap, our users, or the public.
Cookies
We use exactly two kinds of cookies:
- Auth cookie — set by Supabase so you stay signed in.
- Session cookie — set by the app to maintain navigation state.
We do not use third-party tracking pixels (no Meta Pixel, no Google Analytics, no TikTok pixel). Your visit isn’t shipped off to ad networks.
Your rights
You can edit or delete any content on your profile from the dashboard at any time. To delete your entire account or export everything we have on you, email hello@gotittap.com from the address on your account. We’ll process deletions and exports within 30 days.
For SMS: reply STOP to opt out of any text, or HELP for help. For email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion (in case you change your mind). Stripe retains payment records for the period required by US tax and consumer- protection law.
Children
Got It Tap isn’t intended for kids under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child signed up, email us and we’ll delete the account.
Security
TLS in transit, encryption at rest in Supabase, row-level security so users can only read their own rows, hashed IPs for analytics, service-role keys kept server-side only. No system is perfectly secure — if you spot something, email us.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on gotittap.com or by email. Continued use after the change date means you accept the new policy.
